CHEYENNE MELTON!

Cheyenne graduated from Clemson University with her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. Immediately afterwards, She began Clemson's Teacher Residency Program in a 6th grade Social Studies classroom and fell in love with middle school. She knew she would forever stay in middle school because she remembers the need for a teacher who was supportive, caring, and went the extra mile. She promised herself she would be that teacher, even on the hardest days.

She married her high school sweetheart and they currently live in Easley with their fur babies. They are originally from Aiken, SC but both stayed here after college. Leaving their families has been hard, but the family we have made within Anderson 1, Anmed, and the upstate has been worth it all.

"Though I only met Olivia in passing a few times, I am honored to be told that we would’ve been great friends. Receiving this award makes all the hard days worth it and the great days even more special. Each day should not be taken for granted and I’ll continue teaching in a way that Olivia would be proud of"
